    Description
    1935 Chevrolet Master Coupe
The 1935 Chevrolet coupes came off of the production line sporting a 206.8ci inline 6-cylinder engine delivering 74hp. This was a new larger engine than the prior year's, which was a carryover from 1928 and this may have been the reason for great volume sales that year. The car was also very popular among hot rodders who chose both the 3 window and 5 window variations. Some of these hot rodders even went as far as modifying these cars to the hilt in the form of pro street. Pro street is a style of street-legal custom car popular in the 1980s, usually built to imitate a pro stock class race car. Pro Street cars should appear to be more at home on the drag strip than the street, while remaining street legal and not gutted like a Race Car or Bracket Race car. Typically called a back half car (tubbed).
For consignment, a street rod that has been taken to full blown pro street configuration. While remaining street legal, however, it captures the look of a full on quarter mile car. This rod has it all, a snappy red paint job with yellow flames, a huge supercharged engine, and big big tires on the rear. It retains all of its original body lines but has been modified for lots of wows, ooohhhs and ahhhs.
    Exterior
The steel body is bathed in the deep end of the pool red with yellowish orange flames that lick their way down the sides of this car and is visual bliss. A bright mesh style outward V grill sits between a single headlight that is mounted on the inboard side of each front fender. These fenders swoop back and down to meet the running boards that separate the front fenders from the back. A snappy flame covered hood floats between the firewall and the grill shell and has a cut out for the air cleaner assembly to stick through. This hood is hinged in the center so access from either side is a breeze, especially since there are no sides to hide the bling that lurks underneath. A bulbous roof cascades down to the trunk and this design flows down and ends in a pair of teardrop shaped taillights. American Racing Torque Thrust wheels are on all 4 corners with the 14" fronts being wrapped in skinnies and the rears engulfed in 31x18.5R15 steamroller tires. Smooth smooth smooth!
    Interior
With a swing of the suicide door, we are met with a tan vinyl door panel devoid of any window cranks or chrome buttons, simply a polished door release mounted up front. This tan panel is broken up with a taupe insert with vertical ribs and gives the panel a 3d effect. This tan and taupe theme follows over to the leather covered high back bucket seats that float in a sea of clean tan carpeting, with the driver's side being power controlled. Behind the seat is a small storage shelf that contains many speakers to soothe the audiophile in you. A B&M Pro Stick shifter sits just aft of the buckets and is situated perfectly for the driver's reach. A toasted walnut wood steering wheel fronts a toasted walnut dashboard that contains Dolphin gauges to monitor all of the engine's vital functions. Power window switches are centrally located under this stunning dash and on the passenger's, side is a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player. A tight and tidy headliner is above and is in wonderful shape.
    Drivetrain
Flipping open both sides of the centrally hinged hood we see the chromed and polished heart of this beast. 500ci, consignor stated, of bored and stroked big block Chevrolet V8 power is looking us right in the face. Chrome Edelbrock valve covers are on for a little more bling while a polished Weiand 8-71 supercharger sits on top and compresses air and fossils from a pair of Holley 4bbl carburetors. A high performance Th400 3-speed automatic transmission with a Hughes 3000rpm stall converter sends power back to a narrowed Ford 9" rear axle.
    Undercarriage
A red painted frame greets us underneath showing no rust and only slight spattering's of road dirt. The black floor pans are in the same condition. A Heidts Mustang II with coilovers is up front and a S&W 4 link with coilovers provides the ride in the rear. Power disc brakes in the front and power drums in the rear provide the WHOA factor. Headers send spent fossils through Flowmaster mufflers and out the back of the car. All buttoned up and looking A1 down here.
    Drivability
I slipped into the comfy leather bucket seat and with a twist of the key the monster mill roared to life. On the test track this rod provided a hair raising ride with its endless power, I think I may have soiled myself at full throttle. All functions worked swimmingly, bias free braking and tight spot on steering kept me smiling. A shout out to the stereo system, that tries and tries but does not succeed to outdo the music produced by the big supercharged V8.
All the right boxes are checked on this pro street rod. A big supercharged mill, great paint and bodywork, a comfy modern interior, huge rear rubber, and modern suspension. All this wrapped in a steel body and waiting for you. You can be the talk of the next cruise night and leave them all in awe with the two large black streaks you'll lay down with those big rear meats!
