Description
I never thought this day wouldcome, but it has. Am I out of my mind? Maybe, so strike while the iron is hot. This is a mostly stock late2007 1.8L, NA Lotus Elise (with the rear bumperettes). VIN # SCCPC11177HL32627.It was the last Krypton Green off the assembly line before they retired thatcolor. One owner, me. I bought it brand new on the 14
th
of January2008 at Beverly Hills Lotus (when it was in business). Before I saw it there, Isaw it advertised in the Dupont Registry. It has 133,000-ish miles but it’s in danggood shape and is admired everywhere it goes by young and old. Cilajet wasapplied when I purchased it, so the paint has held up beautifully (the Star Shieldisn’t even yellowed at all).
I’ve lightly tracked this car ahalf dozen times the first few years that I bought it, but I’ve never pushed iteven close to its limits. I stopped tracking it probably 10 years ago. It wasmy daily driver, and my company car (Zen Engineering), so it’s been driven afair bit of freeway miles, but it lived in my temperature-controlled garage, cleaned and covered anytime it wasn’t being driven.
I’ve never really had anyproblems with this car other than the oil cooler failures that everyone washaving during that recall period. I’m not a mechanic so it’s been servicedregularly by Lotus qualified mechanics at Beverly Hills Lotus, SilverstarLotus, Calabasas Lotus, VSA (Allen & Stephan, ex-Beverly Hills Lotusmechanics), Galpin Lotus, and A-1. I have all the maintenance records if you wantthem.
Aurgh… the more I write up thedetails of this car the more I want to just keep it!! I’m killing myself here …but my lifestyle is changing and I gotta get rid of some of my cars.
