4 VINTAGE Glass Floats with Jillions of Bubbles Alaska Beach Combed
Here is a set of four vintage oriental glass floats averaging approximately 3.25 inches in diameter. They have so many bubbles in the glass that they can't be counted. These are all a little bit different color and texture.
These floats are one of the nicest surprises I find while beach combing Alaska's shores. I like these because they are different from the run of the mill "regular" and "normal" glass floats you see. I think the bubbles are caused by the molten glass not being hot enough in the furnace when the floats were blown. Some of the bubbles have the tops broken from the beaching process.
