This is a used Florida stone crab/ spiny lobster fishing trap buoy/float washed up and beachcombed from the Florida Keys.
This colorful float was beachcombed from a Florida Atlantic Coast beach and has been used to mark stone crab and spiny lobster traps in the shallow waters off our coast. It is strung on old trapline for easy hanging. This
bullet-shaped float measures approximately 7" in diameter and approximately 14" long, has the original commercial fishery number branded in the foam, and has a bite impression on the top
.
