Bagpipe is one of the most represented musical instruments in the folk music tradition of Macedonia, and has a significant
role in the preservation of our authentic folk music.
Wooden parts of the Bagpipe are:
-Blow
(duvalo) pipe made from plum wood, in which the player blows to refill the bag. At the end of the blow pipe that
is within the bag, there is a small check valve (return valve) of leather or felt that allows air into the bag via
the blow pipe but not back out.
-Reed
(piska) is made from  reed (arundo donax) and is fitted in a chanter.
-Chanter
(Gajdarka) is made from Buxus. Gajdarka is a typical Macedonian cylindrical bore, and has seven holes.
-Drone
(brčalo) is the long pipe which provides a constant harmony note,
and is made of a three-piece tube with a note much lower than that of the chanter.
- Bag
is made from sheep skin,  In the Macedonian regions, the hide is normally turned inside out so that the fur
is on the inside of the bag, as this helps with moisture buildup within the bag.
This Gajda is tuned in B, and comes with 2 spare reeds, one for Gajdarka - chanter and the
one
for the
brčalo - drone.
Bagpipe is made by  craftsmen who have more than 30 years of experience
in producing quality  traditional Macedonian woodwind instruments.
