    You are bidding on a Vintage Circular 13 Inch Souvenir D'Afrique (Africa Souvenir) Brown Wood Wicker Tray.
    This great looking souvenir item from the African continent could be used as a serving tray or decorative wall hanging. There are no obvious flaws with the tray, just some faint scratches when held at an angle. The wicker and wood are strong.
    This map includes the French names of the countries on the African Continent. I think I have them all listed here- Maroc, Algerie, Tunisie, Libye, Egypte, Soudan, Ethiopie, Somalie, Kenya, Ouganda, Tanzanie, Malawi, Mozambique, Madagascar, Afrique Du Sud, Botswana, Namibie, Zimbabwe, Zambie, Angola, Zaire, Congo, Gabon, Centrafricaine, Cameroun, Tchad, Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Burkina, Cote D'Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinee, Guinee Bissau, Senegal, Mali, Mauritanie, Sahara Occidental.
    This item is more than likely from the period 1971-1997 since Zaire is listed as a country. From Wikipedia- "Zaire, officially the Republic of Zaire (French: République du Zaïre; French pronunciation: ​was the name for the Democratic Republic of the Congo that existed between 1971 and 1997 in Central Africa."
    The image shows the aforementioned map of Africa and reads "Souvenir D'Afrique." The background shows 3 palm trees and what looks like the African plains.
    As mentioned this is a 13 inch diameter circle. It is 1 1/4 inches in depth. The wood insert and base (I am not sure if this is one piece of wood or two) is 11 1/2 inches in diameter.
    There is no signature or marking on the tray.
